Steve finally got one of my letters!!!!! I have so much more motivation to continue to send him cards! I was getting so discouraged because it has been like four weeks since I started sending him letters and he still hadn't recieved any of them. But now he seems to be getting them. Hopefully they continue to make it to him.
I started to thatch the yard today. Basically I'm taking a metal rake and tearing up the dead grass and other stuff to expose some fresh dirt so I can fertilize and open up the dirt to oxygen and water and then I'll seed the yard again. It's a big project. The yard is pretty big. My obliques are really sore from doing that for a couple hours today. It's a good thing though. My goal is to have a nice full, soft, weed free yard by the time I move out so grandma just has to maintain it. Once we get the yard under control I want to help her with the flower areas. I want to landscape it so nicely. Maybe I'm more like my dad than I thought I was ;)
Sad story for the day: I just learned that Brandon's cousin and his sister are both set on the same baby girl name that I'm set on. I know that I'm not even pregnant, so it's dumb to worry, but still. I only just found out that Brandon likes it too, like two days ago and today I found out that two other relatives are hoping to name their kids that.... These are the downfalls to having big families. That's the third girl name that we both like that is a no for relative reasons... Actually fourth. I forgot about the name katie... Sigh.
Anyway. The chances of us actually agreeing on that one name for a whole pregnancy, a pregnancy that hasn't even started yet, well it's pretty slim.... Plus I like uncommon names... apparently if three of us that I know all like it, its probably more common than I'd really want...
